Unfortunately at the present time this is not possible as the PlayOn2 is based on the 1185 chipset, the same as the New Mede8er 500X2. There is no unlocked firmware for the 500X2 and if there was it at present does not contain the videowall, this is to come in a later firmware upgrade. The Mede8er firmwares listed in the other threads are for the PlayOn version 1's which use the same chipset 1073DD/+ as the the Mede8er 400/500x.

There has been no more firmware update for the Play!on series since March last year. The latest for the mini3 is Firmware PV73920 v10.1.4.r11255 which was more than 1 year old. Is Ac Ryan still providing support for the Play!on series in terms of firmware updates and add on features as this series is no longer in your product list? Further, 4K TVs are already started to permeate into homes.

I tried both firmware versions and neither flashed. After holding the power button to safe flash it showed a “Mede8er doesn’t support this hardare” type of message.

Since im on the original PlayonHD, not the HD 2, im assuming the DD+ is not the same as a DD C+? And there’s no Mede8er firmware unlocked for me? At the moment I am not naming them and would like to know what folder / naming criterion will be required. Do my MKV's need to be in their own folders, have.mkv as the suffix, year etc. As I am only playing them through MediaPortal or my Samsung TV, nothing is required but the MKV package with it's film name. Hey, I have an AC Ryan Playon HD (PV73100). I changed the firmware to the one you made, to make it look like a Mede8er. It is running just fine, but I have often blank screens, and the system hangs for a while, and start rebooting.
