All other drivers seem up to date and laptop works great (Q502LA). On boot I don’t get any lights at all. If all the other keys work I doubt if it’s the keyboard. Couldn’t find any settings in BIOS and Control Panel, and Device Manager show standard keyboard. Chilean mauser 1895 for sale. Been about 2 months and it’s driving me crazy. My Notebook is working perfectly with Ethernet attached. You have done an amazing job pulling all this info together. Oh sorry, I must have misread your earlier post re 4000 vs 4600:) I saw the Microsoft fix (option 1-regedit) on another site and was a little reluctant but feel a little better about it now. I do have the latest NVIDIA and yes, the error did say it was the Intel, not the NVIDIA. I’m actually just going to bookmark everything for now with that latest Intel driver installed and see how it goes.

Your going to have to look into your bios first and see if you can disable the following, and the list will sound like the entire Hardware installed, BUT its not, your going to leave one item enbled to install the filters properly first and start enabling each item one at a time with Touchpad -Bluetooth Gestures for last.
They just release another version of the laptop -- and then put the same braindead timing on it. They have fifteen different laptops, with completely different hardware, that all have the same bios settings.

I needed to downgrade the Intel Management Engine Interface 11.0.5.1192 to the Windows 8.1 driver version 9.5.24.1790, so my laptop was able to properly shutdown. Also, since I installed a Samsung 850 SSD on my laptop I’ve been unable to use “sleep/turn off screen” power save options. I’ve searched all over the internet, I’ve tried 1001 things (like turn off hibernation, change power settings, etc), but nothing seems to work.
That’s all I need so far! I know it might be something minor to some, but I cannot inverte my scrolling direction anymore. The first day I update to Win10, everything was working fine. I just had to go and change the setting in the mouse option with that Elan thingy. Then some update occured and everything was greyed out in the Elan tab of the mouse option.

However, I think something is going wrong with this 4.0.9 version. When I right click, there is a sort of delay which freezes the cursor (about 0.25 sec I think), and it is impossible to move the cursor in this interval. This is very annoying while browsing through Opera (mouse gestures FTW). I always do “right click” + move down (or left or down then right), both in the same time and this delay ruins everything. Am I the only one with this issue?
